Enrollment and competitions at the University of Defense




Candidates can enroll in accredited study programs, which are implemented by higher education institutions within the University, under the conditions and in the manner determined by the Law and the General Act of the University. Candidates who enroll at the Undergraduate Academic Studies of a higher education institution acquire the cadet status. Candidates who enroll at II and III degrees of studies acquire the status of a student. Persons selected and sent to further education by the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces are financed from the funds allocated for military education in line with the Budget Law of the Republic of Serbia.

Foreign nationals as well as civilian candidates can enroll in accredited study programs under the conditions and in the manner determined by the Law and the General Act of the University. Civilian candidates who enroll at the accredited Academic Studies of a higher education institution acquire the status of student. Such persons are self-financed in accordance with the Law and General Acts of the University, i.e. higher education institutions. Foreign nationals are educated in accordance with an interstate agreement. A foreign citizen may enroll in the appropriate study program of a higher education institution within the University in accordance with the general act of the higher education institution.

At the proposal of its constituent higher education institutions, the University submits the text of a joint competition (hereinafter: the competition) for enrollment in studies provided at the University to the Human Resources of the Ministry of Defense.
The competition includes:

1) number of cadets and students for respective study programs,
2) conditions for enrollment,
3) criteria for determining the order of candidates,
4) the procedure of the competition,
5) the procedure and deadlines for filing complaints,
6) the annual scholarship, which is paid by self-financing students.

The competition is announced no later than five months prior to the beginning of the school year.
