Annual analysis of the implementation of the DEEP programme activities




The annual analysis of the implementation of the NATO Defence Education Enhancement Programme – DEEP activities for the Republic of Serbia was held in the premises of the Teaching and Scientific Council of the Military Academy.


During the analysis, which was attended by the members of the NATO expert team and the representatives of the organizational units of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Serbia participating in the implementation of the DEEP activities, experiences and information were exchanged about the degree and method of the implementation of the activities during 2022.

The analysis was opened by the Vice Rector for Science and Research of the University of Defence, Colonel Assistant Professor, Ivan Vulić, PhD who greeted the guests and expressed his satisfaction with the previous results of the Programme implementation.

Those present were then addressed by Mrs. Frédérique Jacquemin, the DEEP project manager for the Republic of Serbia, who expressed her readiness to organizationally and materially support all the requests of the Serbian side within the programme, both previously planned and those that are subsequently perceived as important.


During the visit to the University of Defence, a working meeting was held with the Rector of the University of Defence, Lieutenant General Associate Professor Goran Radovanović, PhD with the manager of the DEEP project for the Republic of Serbia, at which the mutual will to continue successful cooperation within the programme was confirmed.
 
The DEEP programme has been implemented since 2014 through the provision of assistance and support in the development of teaching staff and curricula at the University of Defence in Belgrade, assistance in the process of accreditation or re-accreditation of curricula in accordance with the standards of the European academic community, as well as assistance in the development of teaching staff and curricula of different training levels in the Centre for the training of non-commissioned officers in Pančevo.
