Minister Vulin: Serbia is proud of defence system members

- President of the Republic of Serbia and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić always insists that all members of defence system have to be rewarded and cared for in the same manner and that they all have to feel in the same way that their state is proud of them, just like they are proud of their country and their people. Today, members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces were rewarded together with the members of the Ministry of Interior and Security Information Agency – all those who make a unified defence system – highlighted Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin, who in the presence of Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović, hosted a reception in the Ceremonial Hall of the Guard Club in Topčider for the members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces, Ministry of Interior and Security Information Agency, winners of non-monetary rewards.

The minister of defence reminded of the times when defence system had been devastated, on purpose and according to a plan, and whet it had been diminished, and when it had been allowed that foreigners decide on the military, police and SIA.

- Those times will never return again, and this is our way to thank the best ones; all those who answered the call of their country in the most difficult moments; all those who were there when Shiptar leadership tried to provoke conflicts in the entire Balkans raiding the north of Kosovo and Metohija; these people were there when it was necessary to rescue children from frozen rivers; and they were all there when it was needed to help civilian population – Ministar Vulin stressed.

According to him, each of them has deserved this recognition many times, but this is – as he added – a way to express gratitude today to all those who made the unified defence system, that consists of military, police and SIA, so worthy of repeating and worthy of secure, safe and stable Serbia.

On behalf of the rewarded, the gathered were addressed by Commander of 41st Infantry Battalion of the 4th Army Brigade Lieutenant Colonel Saša Vučković, who emphasised that in the period to come, like it had been before, they would all execute their tasks successfully for the wellbeing of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Republic of Serbia.

- To me, as a soldier and to other rewarded members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces, these rewards mean recognition of the work and efforts made so far. Soldiers do not perceive rewards as an obligation, but I am certain that it will motivate us to work even better and more heartily and to execute all assigned tasks with the aim of preserving peace, people and state – Lieutenant Colonel Vučković stated.

Sanja Peruničić from Procurement and Sales Department of the Ministry of Defence was among the rewarded ones at today’s reception which was organised with a wish to underscore the care for the members of defence system and point to the fact that each praise has a positive effect on the person who receives it and stimulates it to perform its work even better and with higher quality thus contributing to the overall prosperity of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces.

- This reward means a lot to me, and it is a great honour to receive it, just like it is an honour to work in an institution such as the Ministry of Defence – Sanja Peruničić stressed.

Sergeant Major Milan Deronjić employed at the Military Academy was rewarded by the stay in establishment of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces for relaxation and recreation.
