Technological Engineering of Materials and Protection
The purpose of the undergraduate study programme Technological Engineering of Materials and Protection is the education and training of cadets of the Military Academy for the officers of the SAF technical service (specialties ammunition and propulsion and protection) and NBC service.
In addition, the study programme enables the education of students for graduate engineers of technology in institutions and companies for the development, testing or production of explosives and munitions, propellants and other materials for defence purposes. The difference in the required knowledge of military and civilians is provided by appropriate elective courses, which are taken in the first, second and third year of training.
The studies last for four academic years (eight semesters), with 240 ECTS, where 35% are elective courses. By choosing the appropriate elective courses during the third and fourth year of training, cadets and students decide on the area of their training.
Part of laboratory exercises in certain scientific and professional subjects is done at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Belgrade.
Practical and laboratory exercises in professional-applied subjects, which refer to operation with lethal and propulsion means, are performed at the Military Technical Institute in Belgrade and the Technical Repair Institute in Kragujevac.
An integral part of the study includes two professional internships, which are implemented in appropriate institutions and units of the technical service of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces or companies in the Republic of Serbia.
