Minister Vulin visited Final Exercise of Military Academy cadets “Diplomac 2019”

- Today the cadets demonstrated excellent training and showed that we can safely expect them to be good officers and lead their men – said Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin having, accompanied by the Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Milan Mojsilović at Pasuljanske livade, visited the final exercise of the cadets of the Military Academy and Reserve officers “Diplomac 2019” (“Graduate 2019”).
On that occasion, the Minister said that training is one of the things the Ministry of Defense particularly insists on and that every member of the Serbian Armed Forces must be excellently trained.

- After many years, the Military Academy yields a class of pilots of combat helicopters, which has not happened since 1998. The Armed Forces are being equipped, the Armed Forces are being armed, but above all, the Armed Forces is being trained and it will be especially important to ensure that every member of our team can use all the resources at their disposal and that they can transfer knowledge to the people they would lead tomorrow – emphasized Minister Vulin.

According to the Head of the Department of Tactics, Colonel Dejan Ranđelović, a tactical exercise with live firing was an opportunity to see the integration in terms of types, arms and services in which cadets can understand the complexity of the organization of operation and learn how to properly organize and work in order to perform combat actions successfully.
- In front of you are men who are morally firm, capable, determinate and motivated to be aligned in the Armed Forces in a couple of months and perform the most complex combat tasks they need to perform – said Colonel Ranđelović.

Cadet of the fourth year, Senior Sergeant Nemanja Virijević was today in the role of the commanding officer of the shooting section and, as he says, had by no means an easy task, as the ammunition used at the exercise was live ammunition, which also increases the risk in the implementation of the exercise itself.

Senior Sergeant Stefan Pešić, also a fourth year student, thinks that today’s tasks have been successfully implemented. He stated that he was satisfied with the work of his colleagues and that the exercise was rated with the highest score.
The fourth year student, Milica Petrović, from the CBRN module, explained that her task lay in the segment of the display of the work of the decontamination station, and, like her colleagues, she is satisfied with the knowledge shown.

At today’s tactical exercise with live firing, cadets of the final year of the Infantry, Armored units, Aviation and Atomic-Biological-Chemical services, as well as the Reserve Officers Course participants, showed in practice what they have learned during formal education and confirmed their willingness to perform the most complicated tasks inherent to the officer’s call which they have chosen.
Following today’s exercise, cadets of the final year of all study programs of the Military Academy will be taking their exams and defending their graduation theses in order to, towards the end of the Summer, be promoted into the rank of II Lieutenants of the Serbian Armed Forces in front of the National Assembly.

The exercise “Diplomac 2019” was also attended by Deputy Chief of General Staff, Major General Petar Cvetković, Rector of the University of Defense, Lieutenant-General Goran Radovanović, Commandant of the Military Academy, Major General Bojan Zrnić, Head of the Cabinet of the Minister of Defense, Brigadier General Siniša Kresović, Commander of the Second Brigade of the Land Forces, Brigadier General Željko Kuzmanovic, Commander of the Third Brigade of the Land Forces, Brigadier General Slađan Stamenković.
