Rector of the University of Defense Visited the MMA

At the invitation of the Head of the Military Medical Academy, Col. Prof. Marijan Novaković and the Dean of the MMA Faculty of Medicine, Col. Prof. Dr. Miodrag Čolić, the Rector of the University of Defense, Major General Prof. Dr Miodrag Jevtić paid an official visit to the Military Medical Academy today.
During these activities, Prof. Jevtić held an introductory lecture to the students-cadets of all three classes of the MMA Faculty of Medicine and introduced them in detail to all matters relating to the constitution of the University of Defense, status solutions, as well as the vision of development of higher education and scientific research in the defense system.
Under the motto “Both yesterday and tomorrow”, in the presence of the heads of the higher education institution, the Rector pointed out very good results achieved so far and expressed the expectations of the Ministry of Defense that the establishment of the Faculty will provide excellent staff for the military health system of our country in future, which, in future European integration processes, will allow us to perform with great authority in this important social activity. The Rector of the University of Defense made clear to the students-cadets of the MMA Faculty of Medicine that the Ministry of Defense and the state of Serbia knowingly invest in their training, modeled after similar eminent universities in the world, and provides them with a driven and promising career, prioritizing the best of them.
“I expect you to be aware of the fact that you are at an elite medical institution in our country, that from the beginning of your studies the best teachers are engaged as your mentors, that everything you need to realize the possibilities of modern medicine is at your fingertips, that I believe in you and your determination, but I also expect you to be the successors of your teachers and to be better than us in future”.
During the lecture, Prof. Jevtić introduced the attendees to the very good position of our University in KONUS, respect of the Bologna process, as well as intensive work on providing the mobility of professors and students within the academic community of our country and the region.
