Visit by SKONUS representatives to University of Defence

On 29th February 2012 the Chairperson of the Student Conference of the Serbian Universities (SKONUS) student Miša Živić with his associates paid an official visit to the Rectorate and the representatives of the Cadet Parliament of the University of Defence. Cadet Vice Rector Goran Timotijević, the Chairperson of the Cadet Parliament of the University of Defence cadet Viktor Vereš, Chairperson of the Cadet Parliament of the Military Medical Academy cadet Goran Savić and the Chairperson of Cadet Parliament of the Military Academy cadet Emilija Cvetanović were able in a direct talk to gain the first hand information about the current situation in the academic community of the Republic of Serbia. SKONUS Chairperson student Živić praised the previous and current activities especially pointing to the efficient and well-run formation of the Cadet Parliament.
A good cooperation as the one already established at the KONUS level was announced to take place in the following period. Živić also announced the admittance of the Cadet Parliament of the University of Defence to SKONUS full membership at the first meeting.
Cadets of the University of Defence were invited to take part immediately in some activities of the student organization of interest to both parties that may have to do with mobility of students/cadets, sport tournaments, participation in student professional conferences, and knowledge and skills competitions.
Rector of the University attended the introductory part of the meeting and welcomed the guests wishing a successful cooperation within the university student community of the Republic of Serbia. He also promised support to all activities in which cadets of the University of Defence could participate and told to the SKONUS representatives that the Rectorate of the University of Defence is their home and that they are always welcome on any occasion relating to the creation of conditions for the progress of the generations to come.
